Hubert Mark Bradley was born on 30 November 1886, the son of Alfred Matthew Bradley and his wife Ada Mary.

 

In July 1906, when he was 19 years old, Bradley left his position as a clerk with Lovelock & Linnett, chartered accountants in London's Cheapside, and went to work for London & Westminster Bank. In 1909 London & Westminster Bank merged with London & County Bank, and Bradley became an employee of the enlarged London County & Westminster Bank.

 

Bradley left his job as a clerk at the bank's London Brompton Square branch in January 1916 to join the army. By 1918 he was serving as a Second Lieutenant in the London Regiment.

 

Second Lieutenant Hubert Mark Bradley died in France on 26 May 1918. He was 31 years old.

 

Hubert Bradley is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest London Knightsbridge branch.
