Wallace Bolton was born in Wood Green in 1898, the son of George Bolton, a clerk, and his wife Harriett. He worked for Union of London & Smiths Bank at its London Chancery Lane branch.

 

During the First World War Bolton joined the army, serving as a Rifleman in the London Regiment. He died of wounds on 30 November 1917. He was 19 years old.

 

Wallace Bolton is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest City of London office.
