Frederick Guy Evans was born in London in 1898, the only son of Maurice Ward Evans, a law clerk, and his wife Gertrude Elizabeth. He worked for Union of London & Smiths Bank at its London Princes Street office.
During the First World War Evans joined the army, serving as a Rifleman in the London Regiment. He died in France on 30 November 1917. He was 19 years old.
Frederick Evans is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest City of London office.
