Reginald Unsworth Green was born on 17 January 1889, the son of Edward Unsworth Green and his wife Annie Louisa. He worked for Union of London & Smiths Bank at its London Sloane Street Union Bank branch, and was a member of the bank's staff sports club.

 

Early in the First World War Green left the bank to go on military service. Company Serjeant Major Reginald Unsworth Green of the Honourable Artillery Company died in Belgium on 23 April 1915. He was 26 years old.

 

Reginald Green is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest City of London office, and on another held at NatWest Group Archives.
