John Huffam

Bank: Manchester & Liverpool District Banking Co
Place of work: London office
Died: 27 June 1915

John Collier Huffam was born in Manchester on 2 May 1894, the son of William Stanley Huffam and his wife Georgina. In August 1912 he went to work for Manchester & Liverpool District Banking Co at its head office in Manchester. In August 1914 he transferred to the bank's London office.

During the First World War Huffam joined the army, serving as a Private in the Royal Fusiliers. He died of natural causes at his sister's house in Hendon on 27 June 1915. Although the military authorities apparently did not classify him as a casualty of the war, the bank included him in its war memorial.
