Percy Day Harrisson was born on 19 September 1885, the son of Henry Harrisson and his wife Annie Louise. In March 1903, when he was 17 years old, he went to work for London & County Bank. In 1909 London & County Bank merged with London & Westminster Bank and Harrisson became an employee of the enlarged London County & Westminster Bank.

In November 1915 Harrisson left his job as a clerk in the trustee department of the bank's London head office to join the army. By 1917 he was a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Sussex Regiment. He died in hospital in London on 12 March 1917 of wounds received in action. He was 31 years old.
