Ronald Millie Hamilton was born in 1889. In April 1906 he went to work for Parr's Bank.

 

During the First World War Hamilton left his job at the bank's Rhyl branch to go on military service. By 1917 he was a Second Lieutenant in the Cheshire Regiment. He was accidentally killed on the Somme on 3 June 1917. He was 27 years old and left a widow, Doris.

Ronald was an original Liverpool Pal before earning his Commission to the Cheshire Regiment.
