Stanley Hutton

Stanley Fell Hutton was born in Nantwich in 1893, the son of James Hutton, a schoolmaster, and his wife Agnes. From about 1909 he worked for Parr's Bank.

 

During the First World War Hutton left his job at the bank's Alfreton branch to join the army, initially in the Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). He was later commissioned into the Yorkshire Regiment. Second Lieutenant Stanley Fell Hutton was killed in action in Belgium on 11 April 1918. He was 24 years old.
