Leslie Paul Leppard was born on 23 January 1895. He worked for Union of London & Smiths Bank at its London Princes Street office.

During the First World War Leppard joined the army, serving as a Corporal in the Royal Fusiliers. He died on the Western Front on 3 May 1917. He was 22 years old.
