Percy John Lee was born in 1883. In May 1901 he went to work for Parr's Bank.

 

During the First World War Lee left his job at the bank's Liverpool branch to join the army, becoming a Rifleman in The King's (Liverpool Regiment). He was killed in action in France on 9 April 1918. He was 34 years old and left a widow, Margaret, and a 19-month-old son, Harold.

 

Percy Lee is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest Liverpool City Office branch.
