Frank Reeves was born in Leytonstone on 24 July 1895, the son of Luther Reeves, a bank clerk, and his wife Martha Louisa. He followed his father into banking, becoming a clerk at Glyn, Mills, Currie & Co.

 

In September 1914 Reeves left his job in the bank's Town Office to join the army, becoming a Private in the London Regiment. He was killed in action in France on 26 August 1918. He was 23 years old.
