Harry Davenport Seymour was born in Willesden on 27 March 1899, the son of Harry Davenport Seymour and his wife Charlotte Elizabeth. He worked for Union of London & Smiths Bank.

 

In April 1917 Seymour left his job as a clerk at the bank's Regent Street branch in London to join the army. He died in hospital in France on 29 July 1918 when serving as a Rifleman in the King's Royal Rifle Corps. He was 19 years old.

 

Harry Seymour is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest City of London office.
