Percy Silcock

Percy Bryan Silcock was born in Warrington, Lancashire, in 1895, the son of Stanley Percy Silcock, an architect, and his wife Annie. From about 1911 he worked for Parr's Bank.

 

During the First World War Silcock left his job at the bank's Widnes branch to join the army, and by 1917 he was a Second Lieutenant in the Cheshire Regiment, on active service in Belgium. He died there on 11 August 1917, of wounds received in action. He was 22 years old.
