Aubrey Maxwell Paris Foot was born on 9 June 1917, the son of Aubrey William and Marian Foot. He was educated at St Lawrence School, Ramsgate, and joined the staff of Westminster Bank at its Tunbridge Wells branch in May 1935. In November that year he transferred to Tunbridge Wells Mount Ephraim branch. A bank colleague later recalled, 'He proved himself a very able and willing member of staff and his ability and pleasing personality would have undoubtedly assured him a successful career.'

 

In July 1940 Foot left Mount Ephraim branch to go on war service, and by 1943 he was a Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. He was killed in action in the Mediterranean on 15 October 1943. He was 26 years old.
