Ronald Cyril Fisher was born on 31 March 1905, the son of Charles William and Florence Julia Fisher. He joined the staff of London County Westminster & Parr's Bank (later known as Westminster Bank) in May 1922. 

 

During the Second World War Fisher left his job in the bank's head office on Lothbury, London to go on military service, becoming a Leading Aircraftman in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He died of a stroke while on active service on 20 December 1944. He was 39 years old and left a widow, Jean.
