Victor Gordon Farrow was born on 2 February 1922, the son of Sidney and Constance Farrow. He worked for Glyn, Mills & Co.

 

During the Second World War Farrow left the bank to go on war service, joining the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Sergeant Farrow was killed on 19 July 1941 when his aircraft was shot down into the sea off Scheveningen, Holland. He was 19 years old.
