Keith Alexander Jameson was born on 1 July 1920, the son of Mr and Mrs G A Jameson. He joined the staff of Westminster Bank on his 17th birthday, 1 July 1937. 

 

Early in the Second World War Jameson left his job at the bank’s London Lombard Street office to go on war service. He joined the Indian Army, serving in the Frontier Force Regiment. By 1945 he held the rank of Second Lieutenant. He was killed in action in Burma on 1 March 1945. He was 24 years old. 

 

Keith Jameson is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest City of London office.
