Patrick Joseph Kennedy was born on 6 January 1894. He was a native of Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, Ireland.

 

Kennedy joined The National Bank as a temporary clerk at its London Baker Street branch in 1942. He was killed at home, 3 Melrose Terrace, Hammersmith, during an air raid on 18 February 1944.

 

Patrick Kennedy is commemorated on a bank war memorial at 250 Bishopsgate, London where his name is given as RP Kennedy.
