Victor Crawford Parker was born on 28 May 1921, the son of Andrew Crawford Parker and his wife Elsie. He joined the staff of Westminster Bank at its Leigh-on-Sea branch in 1938. He transferred to Richmond branch in October 1940, but was only there a few weeks before leaving to go on war service, joining the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

 

Flying Officer Parker was killed in an aircraft accident in Sardinia on 5 February 1945. He was 23 years old.

 

Victor Parker is commemorated on a bank war memorial at NatWest Richmond Surrey branch.
