Charles Johnstone Moore was born in Ireland, the son of William Irvine Moore. He worked for Ulster Bank, serving at its Tuam, Westport, Limerick, Belfast York Street, Portadown and Strabane branches.
In June 1916 Moore left the bank to join the army, becoming a Rifleman in the Royal Irish Rifles. He was killed in action in France on 16 August 1917.
Charles Moore is commemorated on two memorials at Ulster Bank’s Belfast head office: its roll of honour for staff who served in the First World War and its memorial for those who fell.

He is listed on the TYNE COT MEMORIAL, Zonnebeke Belgium.and was the son of W I Moore and G Moore of Lisdarn Cottage , Cavan.
