Louis Neri

Louis Neri was born in Liverpool on 4 March 1899, the son of Henry Neri, an Italian-born cashier in a wire rope manufacturing company, and his wife Maud (née Evans). He worked for Williams Deacon's Bank at its Ormskirk branch.

 

During the First World War Neri left the bank to join the army, becoming a Private in The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 23 October 1918. He was 19 years old.
