James Watson worked for Ulster Bank. He served in the army during the First World War leaving his job at the bank's Belfast Donegall Place branch to join up in October 1914. Watson died in July 1916.

 

James Watson is commemorated on two memorials at Ulster Bank’s Belfast head office: its roll of honour for staff who served in the First World War and its memorial for those who fell.
